Gratitude - the Greatest Way to Start Your Day
The first few moments of your day can make a huge difference in your life. I start each and every day thanking God and my ancestors for another day. I ask them to guide and watch over my family, friends, loved ones, and myself on our path. Then I grab my journal. I write about what I want to let go of, what I’m grateful for, and what I want to focus on for the day. I haven’t always done this, and I’m human so occasionally I forget, but boy, there was a shift when I started making the conscious choice to express gratitude. It only takes a few minutes of my time, but it really sets the tone.
Your focus is your fuel. Think about what you choose to ‘consume’ each day…no I’m not talking about food, but that can be considered. I’m talking about how you chose to spend your free time. The activities, routines, music, social media, the people we choose to spend time with. Choose wisely and take care of each other.
